As the 4th of July approaches, we have comprised a list of all of the fireworks and events that will be taking place around the area.
Monongahela
Fourth of July Celebration held on July 4th at the Monongahela Aquatorium. Sponsored by the Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce. Fireworks at 9:45 pm.
***UPDATE 6/30/2018***
Before the fireworks display, there will be a concert by Bruce in the USA, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band. Tickets for the event are $10 and the concert begins at 7:30pm. Gates open at 6. No outside food or beverage permitted, but refreshments will be sold at the venue. Boat docks will be available and boaters are welcome to attend. On Wednesday, July 4th, the aquatorium will once again host the annual 4th of July celebration. A DJ will entertain guests beginning at 6pm. More than 20 food vendors will sell refreshments. The DJ will have games and prizes throughout the evening before a fireworks display at 9:45pm. In case of inclement weather, Thursday is set for the rain date.
Pittsburgh
The City of Pittsburgh will host Fourth of July fireworks and a variety of 4th of July activities at Point State Park and other locations in the city center on July 4th. Activities begin at 12:00 p.m. with fireworks at 9:35 p.m. There are many great locations to watch from, including the Point, Carnegie Science Center, or high up on Mt. Washington. Arrive early so that you can get a good spot to see the fireworks!
Bethel Park
Join us for this family-friendly event on June 30th! Sponsored in part by the Bethel Park Community Foundation, this event will feature live music by No Bad JuJu, inflatable rides for kids, a Petting Zoo, and a Craft Tent and most importantly FIREWORKS!!! Excellent food and beverage options will be made available by Pasta Too, Rowdy BBQ, Campiti’s Pizza, Steel Cactus, Spoonwood Brewing and MIndful Brewing.
Charleroi
The Borough of Charleroi will be hosting a two day celebration for the 4th of July held on Friday June 29th and Saturday June 30th. The festival is set to host vendors, food, games, and much more! The firework display is set for Saturday June 30th! There will be a “So, You Think You Can Sing, Mon Valley?” contest on Friday at 7pm which is open to all Mon Valley Area Students. This event is sponsored by the Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce. There will be a car show on McKean Avenue between 6th and 7th Street. The bike show will be on 6th Street between Fallowfield and McKean Avenue. Both events will be held on Saturday from 12-7pm. There will be plenty of live entertainment this weekend! Vinoski Winery will be having fireworks and Bar Band starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks will begin around Dusk.
***UPDATE 6/30/18***
Vinoski Winery, located at 333 Castle Drive, Rostraver Township, PA, will be holding their own celebration with music, wine, fireworks and a food truck. The Yard, a mobile eatery, will offer refreshments, in addition to wine from Vinoski that will be available for purchase. There will be a $10 parking donation with proceeds benefiting a local charity and gift basket drawings every 30 minutes for guests.
